Location: Newbury or London

Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - Mon to Fri

Job Summary: We're seeking a Technology Strategy and Delivery Lead to join our IT team, which is at the core of our digital future, analysing and operating all our internal and customer-facing systems, with the aim of delivering the best customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and articulate a clear and compelling technology strategy aligned with Vodafone's business goals.
  • Lead the Technology Strategy and Delivery team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for Vodafone's growth and differentiation.
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive technology strategy execution roadmaps and ensure their successful implementation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology initiatives are effectively integrated and aligned with overall business strategies.
  • Manage and prioritize a portfolio of strategic projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Act as a key point of contact for technology strategy with senior leadership, providing regular updates and insights.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of technology strategists and project managers.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record leading large technical delivery teams with an in-depth understanding of the technologies, processes, and techniques required for delivering high-quality solutions within a fast-moving organisation.
  • Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including multiple delivery methodologies, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and shape high-performing teams.
  • Proven experience of leadership and delivery in Technology, ideally with mobile and web platform experience.
  • Experience delivering in both Waterfall and Scaled Agile environments.
  • Experience of emerging technology and technology trends, with enthusiasm for modern development practice, tooling, technology, and techniques.
  • Ability to recruit, grow, retain, and lead a team of people, helping them to realise their potential and creating the right environment for them to thrive.
