We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Mearns House Care Home in Newton Mearns. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, promoting their wellbeing and independence.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver person-centred care and support to residents, adhering to their individual care plans and promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing.
- Assist in creating a caring environment, participating in activities and contributing to the overall quality of life for residents.
- Work collaboratively with care staff and other teams to ensure seamless delivery of care and support.
- Carry out personal care duties, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, with dignity and respect.
- Working towards SSSC registration requirements, with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
- SVQ Level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and families.
- A kind and caring nature, with a passion for delivering high-quality care and support.
- A competitive hourly rate of £12.00-£12.10, plus overtime rates and benefits.
- Subsidised meals and free uniform.
- 28 days annual leave pro rata, plus bank holidays.
