About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated Sales Assistant to join our team at Poundland. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment for all customers
  • Process transactions efficiently and accurately, maintaining a high level of cash handling and till operational procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the store team to create a fun and friendly environment, promoting a positive and inclusive culture
  • Support the store team in achieving sales targets, maintaining high levels of product availability and stock replenishment
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays, ensuring a visually appealing store environment

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a till
