Job Role: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: HMP Feltham (Category C prison and YOI)

Salary: £39,000 per annum, plus £3,000 per annum in allowances

Contract: Full Time - Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Gov Facility Services Ltd (GFSL). As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our facilities.

About the Role:

  • Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial electrical systems
  • Conduct planned preventive maintenance operations to ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Work alongside experienced colleagues to maintain a safe and secure environment for prisoners, employees, and visitors
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Maintenance Team to identify and implement improvements to our maintenance processes
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Two years' experience working in a role as an electrician
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
  • Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
  • Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
  • 17th or 18th Edition
  • Certificate in BS7671
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
