Procurement Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Strategist to join our team at Procurement Heads. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership and shape the future of our procurement function, implementing effective processes and strategies across the group.

• Develop and deliver the medium to long-term procurement strategy, driving business growth and cost savings
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop robust mitigation plans to address them, ensuring business continuity
• Negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms and prices with suppliers, maximising value for the business
• Develop and maintain senior relationships with all suppliers, establishing performance measures and regular review processes
• Implement and maintain standardised procurement processes across the group, ensuring consistency and efficiency
• Coach, train and motivate direct reports to support their development needs, fostering a high-performing team

• Strong negotiation skills and commercial expertise, with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes
• Excellent presentation skills, able to clearly communicate complex information to stakeholders
• Strong influencing skills and relationship building capability, with the ability to work effectively at all levels
• Able to prioritise and work well across a multi-site group, managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines
• Demonstrable experience within contract law and commodity or base raw material tracking methods, with a deep understanding of industrial supply and supplier compliance
• Able to constructively challenge the status quo, driving innovation and improvement within the business
• Strong analytical and operational execution skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering results
• Solid leadership skills, with the ability to achieve results through collaborative working with others

• Car Allowance: £5,000 per annum
• Pension Employer's Contribution: 5.5%
