General Assistant - Bantock Cafe

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused General Assistant to join our team at Bantock Cafe. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service and support our Cook Supervisor in various tasks related to food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unlock and lock up the Cafe and outlying buildings as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by taking orders and serving food/beverages with a friendly and polite manner.
  • Assist the Cook Supervisor in food and beverage preparation.
  • Operate the till register, ensuring secure transactions.
  • Handle cash procedures, including cashing up at the end of the day and assisting with banking and record-keeping.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and cafe areas.
  • Adhere to high standards of personal hygiene and dress code.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or food service role.
