Mentorship and Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled teaching professional to join our education team at HMP Five Wells as a Prison Education Mentor on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will work with a maximum of 15 learners, delivering high-quality certificate level lessons and providing support to help them secure future employment opportunities.
The role involves working Monday to Friday, with weekends and evenings reserved for rest and relaxation. We offer a thorough induction and ongoing support from our Local Education Manager. As part of our commitment to your development, we provide access to career development programmes and training opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will need a full teaching qualification, experience teaching Mentoring/PSD courses, and a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE) or be willing to commit to gaining the qualification(s) within one year.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum. This salary is competitive for the region and takes into account the importance of this role in supporting individuals to achieve their goals.
