Job Overview:


First Military Recruitment is excited to collaborate with a leading International Defence organization seeking to hire several HGV Maintenance Specialists on a permanent basis due to expansion at their Ruislip facility.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct servicing, maintenance, and repairs of vehicle components and accessories, adhering to company, client, and/or manufacturer's guidelines, ensuring safe and economical practices using provided equipment.
2. Diagnose issues and evaluate vehicles using available tools and recognized testing methods, including road tests when necessary.
3. Work efficiently and productively, meeting targets set by Workshop Supervisors or Managers.
4. Adopt a 'Fix First Time' approach to ensure work quality meets or exceeds inspection standards.
5. Drive in compliance with legal regulations.
6. Follow operator's license protocols to protect the company's license.
7. Identify and report defects or signs of potential failures.
8. Communicate recharge costs to the Workshop Supervisor and ensure accurate paperwork completion.
9. Order necessary replacement parts from the parts department, ensuring only required parts are fitted.
10. Interpret technical service information from manuals and implement correct techniques.
11. Complete all job-related documentation accurately (job cards, parts orders, logbooks, etc.).
12. Report any specialist tooling needs to the Workshop Supervisor & Manager.

13. Recognize and appreciate the importance of diverse perspectives and each individual's unique contributions to the team, treating all with dignity and respect.
14. Adhere to all health and safety protocols as per Company standards and regulations.
15. Ensure compliance with ISO standards in all processes and documentation.
16. Maintain and update quality procedures in line with the Group Quality manual.

17. Keep tools and equipment in a clean, safe condition, reporting any shortages or damaged items to the Workshop Supervisor.
18. Protect vehicles from damage or soiling during work by using appropriate covers.
19. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, disposing of waste materials properly.
20. Stay informed about improvements and techniques to ensure work meets departmental quality standards.
21. Engage in continuous improvement processes related to vehicle inspection, servicing, and repair documentation.
22. Foster a culture of achievement and continuous improvement within the team.
23. Demonstrate safety, integrity, and commitment consistently.
24. Maintain excellent communication within the team and across the organization.
25. Safeguard the company's information assets and comply with Information Assurance policies.
26. Operate within established Company policies and procedures.
