About the Role

Rydon is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative/Plumber to join our NHS repairs and maintenance team based in Bristol. Our maintenance business provides a range of expert planned and responsive maintenance services to domestic properties and commercial buildings in the social housing, health and social care sectors.

Job Purpose

Our NHS maintenance healthcare team in Bristol provides a planned, preventative and reactive maintenance service for a large NHS trust. We are looking for a multi-skilled plumber/maintenance plumber to join the team, providing repairs (responsive and planned) with a particular emphasis on plumbing, as well as other general maintenance works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks in a variety of healthcare settings
  • Perform general maintenance works, including carpentry and plastering
  • Work in a mobile role, maintaining multiple healthcare sites
  • Hold a full UK driving license and be willing to participate in an on-call rota for emergency repairs

Requirements

  • Previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings, ideally within the NHS or for a maintenance contractor providing services to the NHS
  • Ability to undertake a wide range of plumbing repairs and other general building skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing high-quality repairs
  • A full UK driving license and a DBS check
