About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Eastleigh, reporting to the Industrial Planning, Controlling & Reporting Manager. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for accounting activities associated with the Wrexham Cable and Components Plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and produce timely and accurate monthly Management Accounts, reporting information for internal stakeholders and external reporting requirements.
- Provide Manufacturing & Logistics Managers with financial performance explanations, identifying potential problems and opportunities.
- Review and comment on variance analysis for Manufacturing and Logistic costs for Senior management.
- Evaluate inventory for the Plants in detail.
- Assist in preparing Operations and Logistics annual budgets.
- Prepare information for audits and liaise with auditors.
- Carry out ad-hoc projects for other members of the Finance Management team.
Requirements
- Ideal experience in a similar position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferably a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA).
- Confident and self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills and strong organisational ability.
- Flexible approach to meet demanding deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and advanced Excel skills, with a good knowledge of other Microsoft Office products.
- Experience of SAP or a similar ERP system is beneficial.
