About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at SensePlus Portsmouth, a service that provides support and development opportunities for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality support and care to individuals with PMLD, using multisensory stimulation to promote engagement, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement individualized session plans, incorporating personal goals and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe and inclusive service environment.
Requirements
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the needs of individuals with PMLD and complex needs.
  • Excellent literacy, verbal, and communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive written records.
  • Experience equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or above in Social Care, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, with a calm and composed demeanor.
