About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Trainee Financial Analyst to join our finance team at Armstrong Knight. As a Trainee Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial statements, producing journals, and conducting balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Production and posting of journals, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and making necessary adjustments.
  • Liaising with budget owners to identify and explain variances from plan.
  • Preparing statutory returns, including VAT and ONS submissions.
  • Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts, audit deliverables, and disclosure notes for the annual audit.
  • Undertaking ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of [£25,000 - £30,000] per annum salary, depending on experience.
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualification or working towards it.
  • Experience in a management accountant role or similar field.
  • A strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
