Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a multi-form faith school in Chatham. This is a full-time role with a November start, offering a competitive daily rate of £116-£120.

The Role

This is a dynamic and varied role that requires a skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing classrooms for lessons, including setting up video presentations and sourcing materials
  • Teaching classes independently, especially when teachers are absent
  • Planning and delivering learning and enrichment activities
  • Working with small groups of students or individuals requiring special attention
  • Developing specialist curricula in areas of interest
  • Assessing students' progress and discussing development with teachers, parents, and carers
  • Providing support and guidance to students
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working as a HLTA, with a L4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential
  • Experience planning and delivering specialist PPA lessons across the primary curriculum
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service and the right to work in the UK
