About the Role

As a highly skilled Armourer with the New Zealand Defence Force, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of weapon systems used by the Army. Your role will involve dismantling, diagnosing, and repairing weapons, from assault rifles to artillery cannons, to ensure they are safe and functioning accurately.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair weapons to ensure they are safe and operational.
  • Diagnose faults and implement repairs to return weapons to working order.
  • Work with other units to provide maintenance support in various environments, including forward repair groups.
  • Participate in regular outdoor training exercises and workshops to develop and maintain skills.
