Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our UKAS accredited, diagnostic Cellular Pathology department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Biomedical Scientists and Consultant Pathologists in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the cellular pathology laboratory premises and equipment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the diagnostic services of the department, ensuring the department meets or exceeds both local and nationally agreed standards of service delivery.
  • Work as part of the laboratory team, liaising with laboratory staff, medical staff, and other hospital staff, users, and external contacts.
  • Undertake local training and qualifications relevant to the post.

Requirements
