Job Title: Facilities Support Technician

General Dynamics UK is seeking a skilled Facilities Support Technician to join our team in Hastings. As a key member of our Facilities and Safety Team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the fabric and compliance of our sites, ensuring the successful delivery of various facilities and cross-functional project works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance and support to rectify facilities services and building issues via the service desk process
  • Support the Facilities Team with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance and services works, project works, program initiatives, and business improvement works
  • Provide porterage and facilities support to onsite events and visits
  • Contribute to ground maintenance and seasonal site upkeep, including winter gritting, snow clearance, sign cleaning, and waste management
  • Support the monthly in-house PPM schedule
Requirements:
  • Experience of building facilities management and maintenance schemes
  • Hold a valid driving license, ideally with no points or penalties
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt style and build strong working relationships internally and externally
  • Influencing and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Demonstrable experience of problem-solving and multitasking
  • Significant knowledge and working capability with MS packages
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing/engineering environment beneficial
  • Trade experience beneficial but not essential
  • Demonstrable of H&S in the workplace, Working Safely or equivalent beneficial but not essential
