Job Overview

Leaders in Care is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Nurse to provide exceptional care to individuals with diverse mental health conditions. This role involves fostering therapeutic relationships, working collaboratively with professionals, and delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide symptom management and care for patients with mental health conditions.
  • Build and maintain therapeutic relationships, offering crisis intervention and support.
  • Liaise with doctors, social workers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Interact with patients' families, providing advice and information on mental health matters.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate patient records, care plans, and risk assessments.
  • Lead a staff team during patient conveyance or therapeutic observational services.
  • Ensure proper handover of patient details and report incidents promptly.
  • Assist in policy compliance and attend necessary training and meetings.

The ideal candidate will possess a current valid NMC Pin, excellent written and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach. Teamwork skills and good time management are also essential. A valid Enhanced DBS or on the update service, full UK Driving Licence, and right to work in the UK are required. Minimum 3 years UK employment history is preferred.

This role is ideal for professionals with experience in mental health care, including Mental Health Nurse, Psychiatric Nurse, Community Psychiatric Nurse, Mental Health Support Worker, or Clinical Nurse Specialist.
