FMCG Buyer

We are looking for an experienced Category Buyer to join our client's FMCG food manufacturing business in Leicestershire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing, secure timely delivery, and improve overall quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement, implement process changes, and drive innovation.
• Analyse market trends, supplier performance, and category data to inform procurement decisions.
• Prepare and present regular reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in FMCG food manufacturing or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of SAP/MRP/ERP systems and ability to navigate complex data sets.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively engage with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Certification in purchasing or a related field (CIPS preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

Salary and Benefits:

• A highly competitive salary package (£50,000 - £70,000 per annum), commensurate with experience.
