Job Title: SEN Teacher of English

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced English teacher to work with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a residential and educational setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching English and a commitment to supporting students with complex learning needs.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified English teacher to join our team and work with students who require additional support. The successful candidate will have experience working with students with SEN, PMLD, Autism, or ADHD, and will be able to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach English to students with SEN in a residential and educational setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students with complex learning needs
  • Provide personal support to students and create a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure students receive a comprehensive education
Requirements:
  • QTS, PGCE, or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with students with SEN, PMLD, Autism, or ADHD
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable)
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (registered with the online update service or willing to process a new application)

Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
