Vetro Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Children's Residential Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a children's residential service in Wisbech, Hertfordshire.

Your main responsibilities will include encouraging young people to participate in activities that promote their independence and well-being, dealing with challenging behaviours, protecting young people from risks to their health and welfare, and maintaining a safe environment. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that the needs of the young people are met.

To be successful in this role, you will need experience working with children and young people with EBD, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. You must also be a car driver to transport young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support young people to develop life skills and promote their independence and well-being.
  • Manage challenging behaviours in a constructive and respectful manner.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of young people.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and near misses.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people with EBD is essential.
  • You must be a car driver to transport young people.
  • A commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people is required.

Salary: £27,000-£32,000 per annum
