Job Description: Senior Technology Strategist

This is an exciting opportunity to join Ripjar as a Senior Technology Strategist, playing a key role in guiding the design and development of our Labyrinth Screening product and its underlying technology platform. You will work closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the organisation, collaborating with customers and partners to deliver high-quality software solutions.

You will be a technical leader, responsible for owning the overall architecture and technology roadmap for Labyrinth Screening. This includes contributing to product design and development, empowering staff and senior engineers to own key elements of the product and architecture, and ensuring consistent application of architectural decisions and guidelines across Ripjar's software products.

The successful candidate will have a strong all-round technical ability, with a demonstrable working knowledge of building, implementing, and maintaining complex Cloud/Hybrid/On-Premise systems. They will also have industry expertise in financial crime compliance, preferably in the development of high-performance name screening solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning the overall architecture and technology roadmap for Labyrinth Screening.
  • Contributing to product design and development.
  • Empowering staff and senior engineers to own key elements of the product and architecture.
  • Ensuring consistent application of architectural decisions and guidelines across Ripjar's software products.
Requirements:

The successful candidate should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A strong all-round technical ability, with a demonstrable working knowledge of building, implementing, and maintaining complex Cloud/Hybrid/On-Premise systems.
  • Industry expertise in financial crime compliance, preferably in the development of high-performance name screening solutions.
  • Experience designing distributed data-intensive systems.
  • Able to quickly comprehend complex scenarios, unravel uncertainty, and ambiguity, and articulate the architecture of complex systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary & Benefits:

Ripjar offers a competitive salary range of £90,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 days after 5 years), hybrid working options, life assurance, company share scheme, private family healthcare, employee assistance programme, and enhanced maternity/paternity pay.
