Lead Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the development of cutting-edge radar systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex radar systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions meet customer requirements.
A competitive salary of up to £70,600 (commensurate with skills and experience) and enhanced annual leave allowance are available.
About the Role
- Develop novel solutions to evolving technical challenges and emerging issues for complex Multi-Function Radar Systems.
- Apply a breadth of knowledge, skills, and experience of Systems Engineering principles, techniques, and governance to steer and develop technical solutions and resolve engineering issues.
- Conduct system design analysis to manage trade-offs of system parameters to characterise and specify robust product design.
Requirements
- A good understanding in some of the following subject areas; signal processing, target track extraction, object classification algorithms, system and sensor resource optimisation.
- A good understanding of factors that can affect the real-world performance of sensing systems and how these can impact the accuracy and timeliness of measurements in order to meet challenging design objectives and requirements.
