About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Child Protection Adviser to join our friendly and supportive team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and young people.

Main Responsibilities
  • Chair Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences, utilizing your expertise in the Strengthening Families approach and relevant legislation.
  • Act as a 'critical friend' for staff and partners, fostering a culture of excellence in child protection practice.
  • Promote best practice and learning within our local quality assurance framework.
  • Collaborate with social work teams and other services to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
About You

We are looking for an experienced professional who shares our passion for improving the lives of children and young people. The successful candidate will possess:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification and active HCPC/SWE registration.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, advocate, and negotiate effectively.
  • Demonstrable post-qualifying statutory social work experience, including management experience in a Social Work environment.
