SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Step Teachers, working alongside experienced educators to provide high-quality support to students with Special Educational Needs in the Harrow area. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with class teachers to design and implement lesson plans tailored to meet students' unique needs.
- Support students in developing their language and communication skills through evidence-based strategies.
- Offer guidance and encouragement to promote positive behaviour and academic progress.
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents and carers regarding student progress.
Requirements:
- Relevant teaching assistant qualifications (Level 2/3) or equivalent.
- Prior experience working with students with SEND is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are necessary for success in this role.
The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from £28,000 to £38,000, based on qualifications and prior experience.
