Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Setter Programmer / Machinist to lead on exciting projects with a prestigious brand in maritime technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program using CAD CAM (AutoDesk Inventor/ Fusion 360) and lead project teams to deliver high-quality prototypes.
  • Operate both HAAS 5-axis and 3-axis router to produce complex parts, utilizing expertise in materials such as Aluminium, Stainless steel, MDF, structural foam, and other glass/carbon-based composites.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and materials, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and inspect parts using measuring equipment to guarantee accuracy and quality.
  • Contribute to designing for manufacture, implementing efficient production methods and suggesting improvements.
  • Broaden technical skills by learning new machines and programming systems.
  • Work independently and take ownership of the prototype machining cell, driving innovation and growth.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as a CNC setter operator and programmer, with a strong background in mechanical engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to machine various materials, including metals and composites.

Salary Range: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include: comprehensive training, opportunities for career advancement, and a collaborative work environment.
