About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Practice Development Nurse to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering training, education, and professional development across the Health Board.


Main Responsibilities


The successful candidate will support the Head of Nursing PCTSG, the MCA and DOLS Lead Nurse, and contribute to the ongoing mandatory and statutory training and continuing professional development needs. You will also support the DoLS team lead in developing and implementing systems to ensure Health Board compliance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Mental Capacity (Amendment) Act 2019.


Key Skills and Qualifications


The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field, be registered as a Midwife/Nurse, and possess specialist knowledge of Long Term Care, MCA, and DOLS. You will also have experience in planning and delivering training, knowledge of Governance processes, and evidence of recent ongoing professional development.
