A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Chemistry Professional to lead the department at a highly regarded school. As the Lead of Chemistry, you will play a pivotal role within the Science department, leading a team of passionate educators and reporting directly to the Head of Science.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of an engaging and challenging Chemistry curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, aligning with the academy's high academic standards. This includes designing, developing, and implementing a Chemistry curriculum that meets the needs of all students and inspires a love for the subject.

You will also be expected to keep abreast of changes in national educational policy and subject-specific advancements to ensure Chemistry teaching remains cutting-edge. Additionally, you will select and source innovative teaching materials and resources to enhance lesson delivery, coordinate examination entries with the school's exam officer, and perform detailed analysis of results to drive continuous improvement.

This is a leadership role that offers significant scope to shape the Chemistry provision within the Academy, providing a chance to make a real impact on student outcomes and departmental success.
