This role involves:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire secondary students to reach their full potential;
  • Monitoring and assessing students' progress and keeping regular records of academic performance;
  • Creat[ing a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning;
  • Collaborating with school management, teaching staff, and parents to provide quality academic support for students;
  • Preparing and participating in school-related activities such as performances, events, and parent/teacher meetings;
  • Adhering to safeguarding policies and promoting the welfare of all children;
  • Using effective classroom management strategies to ensure an orderly and safe learning environment;

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent;
  • A degree in a relevant field, with a Subject of Specialism;
  • A recognized qualification in teaching, preferably a Bachelor's degree in Education or any relevant field;
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students;
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in class;
  • The ability to adapt teaching styles to facilitate different learning styles;
  • A passion for teaching and making a difference in students' lives.
