We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to join our Extra Care team at Station View in Barrow-in-Furness. Our service provides high-quality care and support to 31 residents, aged 55 and above, with a range of needs including dementia, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities.
The successful candidate will provide consistent and respectful personal care, medication administration, and manual handling, as well as assist with domestic tasks. They will also develop warm and trusting relationships with service users, enabling them to enjoy their time at the service to the fullest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to residents, including medication administration and manual handling
- Assist with domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Develop and maintain relationships with service users, promoting their independence and well-being
- Encourage residents to engage in social activities, both within and outside the home
Requirements:
- Experience working in a care setting, preferably with older adults or individuals with dementia
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks
Working Hours: Full-time hours, shift times are 22:00-08:00
