Babcock International Group is seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to join our team at our Walsall site. As a Welding Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the vehicles we produce and deliver meet the required standards.

The Role

As a Welding Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our welding processes. This will involve:

  • Assisting with the design and development of welding solutions
  • Providing routine oversight to confirm weld activity is being carried out to standard
  • Day-to-day responsibility of all weld activity and associated training requirements
  • Reviewing project specifications for welding processes and producing appropriate WPS
  • Periodically reviewing the business' welding practices

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at Walsall.

Experience Required

We are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience in quality control, evaluation, and improvement in a production environment. You should have knowledge of welding processes and standards, as well as an understanding of metallurgy and process technology in the field of welding.

Qualifications

A degree-level qualification in welding technology or a similar discipline is required.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
