About the Role

As an Equipment Engineer - Shift Role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our production areas. You will work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager and Shift Skills Development Managers to respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns, perform planned maintenance, and contribute to project work.

This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. A background in a similar role, preferably HNC level qualified, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide rapid response to breakdowns and initiate repairs
  • Conduct thorough diagnoses of equipment issues and recommend solutions
  • Execute regular maintenance schedules to maintain equipment reliability
  • Train and mentor junior engineers in areas of expertise
  • Collaborate with Production Operatives to identify potential equipment issues
  • Communicate effectively with Management regarding potential breakdowns or process downtime
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain high standards of housekeeping

Compensation Package: We offer a competitive salary of approximately £35,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience.
