Job Title: Senior Product Compliance Engineer

Location: Various locations across the UK, including Barrow-in-Furness, Brough, Filton, Frimley, Portsmouth, Weymouth, and Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Attend and contribute to Daily Stand Up Meetings (DSUM) to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  2. Design and implement safety solutions, including risk reduction and analysis, using a systems engineering approach.
  3. Work within a centralized modelling tool to develop and maintain safety models.
  4. Collaborate with a small safety team to achieve desirable safety outcomes.
  5. Support non-safety experienced team members to develop their safety knowledge and skills.
  6. Prepare and present safety assessments to support system design and development.
  7. Contribute to the development and maintenance of a healthy product safety culture within the team and wider business.
Requirements:
  1. Familiarity with UK Defence Standards, including Defence Standard 00-56, Defence Standard 00-55, DSA-01, and DSA-02.
  2. Knowledge of safety analysis techniques, including Fault Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Event Tree Analysis (ETA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Systems Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA).
  3. STEM degree and experience in product safety within a regulated industry.
  4. Understanding of IEC 61508 and/or IEC 61511 for complex Software and Hardware Safety Instrumented Systems.
