We are seeking an experienced Actuary to join our team at Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting. The successful candidate will work closely with our actuarial teams across Europe and other regions, independently analysing complex problems and developing innovative solutions for our clients.
This role requires a strong background in actuarial science, mathematics, and finance, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent modelling skills, with practical experience in at least one coding language (e.g., R, Python), and a strong understanding of the insurance industry and its challenges.
The Actuary will work on a broad range of client projects, including independent reserve reviews, M&A due diligence work, and risk management and support. They will also have the opportunity to take the lead on new and emerging ideas, leveraging the wider Oliver Wyman and Marsh McLennan organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independent analysis and development of innovative solutions for clients
- Collaboration with actuarial teams across Europe and other regions
- Modelling and analysis of complex data sets
- Development of reports and presentations for clients
- Identification and implementation of process improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant Property & Casualty actuarial experience
- Either part or fully qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of finance and/or risk management topics, including Solvency II internal models, ORSA, and IFRS 17
- SAO Signing certificate or knowledge of the SAO year end process
- Lloyds of London Capital Requirements
- Strong modelling skills with practical experience in at least one coding language (e.g., R, Python)
