Job Overview

The Environmental Health Specialist will be responsible for providing a responsive and effective Pest Control Service to the Tower Hamlets community, aligning with the Council's Core Values. This role requires a motivated individual with RSPH Level 2 certificate in pest control or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide a high-quality Pest Control Service, including investigations within residential properties.
  • To maintain up-to-date knowledge of Pest Control legislation, work practices, and recent developments.
  • To use information technology systems and equipment effectively, handle pressurised situations, and interact courteously with service users and colleagues.

Salary Details

The estimated annual salary for this position is £35,000 - £45,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The postholder must have a full, clean driving licence, as they will be required to drive a Council van during working hours.

Requirements

  • RSPH Level 2 certificate in pest control or equivalent experience.
  • Broad experience in Pest Control work, including investigations within residential properties.
  • Able to undertake heavy manual handling work.
  • Familiarity with information technology systems and equipment.
