Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join our team at Quality Service Recruitment. As a Class 1 HGV driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting pallets nationwide, working with a leading haulage company in the East Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a curtain-sided vehicle for a reputable haulage company
  • Make pallet deliveries and collections to various Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) nationwide
  • Complete between 1 to 5 drops per day, with no handball required

Requirements

  • Valid UK driving license
  • Class 1 or C+E entitlement
  • Valid CPC Card
  • Valid Tacho Card
  • Minimum of 6 months HGV driving experience

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, ongoing role with regular working hours from Monday to Friday, with shifts starting at 06:00 and finishing around 18:00. You can expect to work an average of 48 hours per week.

Compensation

As a Class 1 HGV driver, you can expect a competitive hourly rate of £14.00 per hour PAYE, plus 28 days' holiday pro rata. You may also be eligible for an umbrella company, which could increase your hourly rate to up to £16.94.
