Job Title: Senior Technical Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Systems Engineer to join our team at Expleo Engineering UK Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for applying the principles of Systems Engineering across the entire engineering development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake system design and design maintenance activities for the Simulation & Training delivery stream, applying Systems Engineering principles and standards.
  • Provide information and design input to enable the System Design Authority to make system decisions, with a focus on Training Systems equipment, network, and software design.
  • Apply Systems Engineering experience to undertake a System of Systems (SoS) approach to analysis, design, test, and integration between synthetic, COTS, and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
  • Undertake Training Systems equipment design, network design, and software design, including overall performance prediction and design of installations, to meet customer requirements within the budget available.
  • Apply a breadth of knowledge, skills, and experience of Systems Engineering and company approaches, techniques, and governance to design and develop solutions and resolve engineering issues and problems for Training Systems products.
Requirements:
  • Higher education (or equivalent experience) in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
  • Achieved or working towards Chartered Engineer status and/or a relevant professional accreditation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both in terms of creative (product design and development) and analytical areas (e.g., performance assessment).
  • Experience of system integration, test, and acceptance, as well as requirements management and application of configuration management.
  • Good level of IT literacy and concise, logical, and accurate communication skills.
