Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Craft Team Member to join our team at Tata Steel. As an Electrical Craft Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of installations and corrective/preventive maintenance in our Electrical Distribution department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance: Execute projects and perform preventive/corrective maintenance on LV distribution systems, including assisting with High Voltage distribution projects up to 33kV.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to local and works procedures related to Safety and Environment, undertake Risk Assessments, and contribute to the local Health & Safety Plan.
  • Team Collaboration: Support distribution engineers in Shotton's HV/LV network projects and maintenance, facilitate the development of Apprentices, and review and update maintenance procedures as needed.
  • Equipment Management: Manage standby generators and conduct testing of the works earthing network.
  • Customer Support: Assist Colors manufacturing and other end users in resolving faults where the HV/LV network overlaps with their systems.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Time-served electrician with formal qualifications and relevant experience, ideally 18th edition qualified (though 17th edition will also be considered).
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, solid understanding of company procedures, and risk awareness when planning and executing tasks.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of SAP, familiarity with HV equipment, and IPAF/MEWP License.
