Job Title: Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Sidcup

Salary: Circa 70,000 (Depending on experience)

About the Role:

As the lead for Building Services Engineering, you will oversee workload delivery, report to the Line Manager, and mentor the M&E team. You will also serve as Lead Consultant/Designer/Engineer, ensuring work aligns with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Surveys of Mechanical systems to inform design decisions
  • Thorough documentation and project management
  • Collaboration with stakeholders and team members
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP or other 3D design software
  • Ability to sketch and communicate technical details graphically
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD

Requirements:

Key technical requirements include:

  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with UK and European regulations in the discipline
  • Proficiency in the latest electrical design software packages
  • Competence in Revit MEP or other 3D design software
  • Ability to sketch and communicate technical details graphically
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Chartered professional qualification
  • Postgraduate qualification

Required qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional services environment
