Veterinary Medicines Directorate

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for post-authorisation surveillance of veterinary medicines, collating suspected adverse event reports and managing key business processes under demanding deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

A degree in veterinary science is required, with eligibility to be a member of the RCVS. The successful candidate must have relevant experience in the regulation of medicinal products, legislative process and Pharmacovigilance, as well as strategic leadership skills.

Benefits:

The role offers a competitive salary of £72,833 per annum, 25 days annual leave and a pension scheme. As part of the VMD, you will be working towards protecting public health, animal health and the environment by ensuring the safety, quality and effectiveness of veterinary medicines.

The Veterinary Medicines Directorate is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe use of veterinary medicines in the UK.
