Establish a strong presence as a Hard Landscaping Team Leader in North East Derbyshire, delivering exceptional maintenance services to the community.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our hard landscaping team. As a key member of our Streetscene Service, you will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality maintenance of soft and hard landscaped areas across the district.

Your primary base will be at the Eckington depot facility, but you must be prepared to work from other locations as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and motivate a small team of staff, promoting a positive and productive working environment.
  • Work to pre-targeted schedules and deadlines, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for maintaining amenity horticultural practices throughout the district.
  • Possess NPTC PA1/6 Pesticide application certificates of competence, with experience in using specialist horticultural equipment and vehicles.
  • Undertake soft and hard landscaping works, including preparations for burial of the dead and cemetery/churchyard maintenance.
  • Hold a full clean driving license (category B+E) and have experience of driving light commercial vehicles with trailers above 750kg.
