Maintenance and Operations Coordinator Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Operations Coordinator to join our Estates team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our school sites.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair works, ensuring that all works are completed to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to prevent equipment failures and ensure continuity of services.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including scheduling and completion dates.
  • Work closely with the Estates team, other departments, and external contractors to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a maintenance or operations role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • A clean driving license is a bonus.

Working Conditions:

  • Shifts based on a rota system, including weekdays and occasional weekends.
  • Shift patterns based on 6am - 3pm, 1pm -10pm term time and 8am - 5pm in holidays.
  • Required to participate in an on-call rota between 8pm-8am weekdays and 24 hours at weekends (1 in 6 weeks)

Salary: £24,000 per annum, plus additional benefits, including 25 days annual leave, bank holidays, and a discretionary day allowance.
