We are looking for a skilled Category Manager to join our team at Universal Business Team, located in Doncaster. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in purchasing strategy, sustainability, and supplier relationship management.

Main Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of the company's purchasing strategy, focusing on sustainability and social responsibility.
• Oversee the acquisition of necessary product accreditations and certifications.
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to purchasing activities.

Supplier Relationship Management:

• Negotiate and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance regularly and resolve issues promptly.

Data Maintenance:

• Accurately update the purchasing database in a timely manner.

Reporting and Regulatory Compliance:

• Compile comprehensive reports on procurement activities, including financial data and performance metrics.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and ensure the company's compliance.

Collaboration and Innovation:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive category growth and profitability.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement sustainable practices.

**Expected Compensation:** £50,000 per year.
