About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Biomedical Scientist to lead our Blood Transfusion laboratory at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of scientists and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service. The role will involve developing and implementing policies and procedures, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


Main Responsibilities



  • Leading a team of scientists to deliver a high-quality service
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Managing budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Ensuring the service is aligned with network development requirements

Requirements



  • BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science or equivalent
  • Current HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council) Registration
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Evidence of managerial training/advanced technical expertise
