Job Overview

Salt is seeking a seasoned Sustainability Consultant to provide expert guidance on sustainability initiatives for various consumer-facing teams.

The successful candidate will collaborate with diverse teams to drive sustainability efforts and be the go-to expert for technical sustainability support across our UK and European operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for technical sustainability research requests from consumer-focused teams.
  • Assist in the technical review of brands, products, claims, and materials for sustainability compliance.
  • Support publicity teams working on sustainability-themed titles through research, fact-checking, and editorial reviews.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of UK/European green claims legislation and standards, summarizing key insights for internal stakeholders.
  • Gather feedback from various teams to refine and enhance our sustainability support services.
  • Provide project management support as needed.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in sustainability, with a focus on consumer-facing businesses.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven track record in assessing corporate sustainability performance and evaluating green claims.
  • Strong understanding of consumer insights related to sustainability.
  • Experience in writing sustainability-focused communications.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and uphold high ethical standards.
  • Experience in the entertainment industry is a plus.
