Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Path Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of commercial trucks to a high standard.

The successful candidate will have the chance to earn around £53,000 per year, with guaranteed overtime paid at time and a half. Additionally, they will be eligible for a benefits scheme and other incentives.

About the Job:

We require a skilled Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to repair, service, and maintain a mixed fleet of commercial trucks. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with refuse/council vehicles or sweepers and plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair, service, and maintain commercial trucks to a high standard
  • Work efficiently to meet deadlines and minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out and materials used

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a mobile HGV mechanic, HGV Technician, or HGV fitter
  • Experience in repairing Scania, Volvo, DAF, Mercedes, or Ford trucks
  • Certifications in heavy vehicle mechanics, automotive mechanics/engineering, or mechanical engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ)
  • Irtec training/qualifications
  • Ability to carry out MOTs to VOSA standards
  • Hold a Class 2/Class 1 (HGV1/HGV2) licence/C licence/C+E licence
