Educational Psychologist in Training

Ribbons & Reeves Limited is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Educational Psychologist in Training to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in a primary school setting.
About the Role:
This Primary School Support Specialist position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and prepare for a career in educational psychology. As part of our team, you will provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with diverse needs, working closely with children inside and outside the classroom to support their development. You will lead targeted interventions to boost confidence and attainment, collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to create effective learning plans, and play an active role in managing behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with diverse needs
* Work closely with children inside and outside the classroom to support their development
* Lead targeted interventions to boost confidence and attainment
* Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to create effective learning plans
* Play an active role in managing behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment
Requirements:
* A 1:1 or 2:1 Psychology degree from a leading UK university
* Previous experience working with children is preferred
* Confidence and competence in handling behaviour management
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families, schools, and third parties
* A passion for working with SEND pupils and supporting their individual needs
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is £90-£100 per day via PAYE, making it a competitive offer for anyone looking to gain experience in education. As a valued member of our team, you will be supported in building expertise in supporting a wide range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and PLMD.
