We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncology Consultant to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Breast Cancer and a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will be responsible for managing clinics treating and providing follow-up care to breast patients. They will also participate in all aspects of clinical governance, making a significant contribution to multidisciplinary audit and risk management activities. Additionally, they will provide major contributions to the work necessary for NHSLA assessments and assist the Directorate Manager and Clinical Director in undertaking the governance clinical lead role for the service.
Administrative DutiesThe post holder will undertake administrative duties in relation to the care of their patients and the running of the department. They will also undertake general administrative duties within a context of compliance with Directorate and Trust aims and objectives.
Research and TeachingThe Trust welcomes and encourages research as a high-profile activity that complements the service provided. The post holder will be expected to participate in the teaching of undergraduate medical students, specifically in the investigation and management of breast patients. They will also participate in the clinical supervision of junior medical staff and the teaching and training of other healthcare professionals.
