Primary Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a primary school in Worthing. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational journey of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to enhance their learning and development.
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive and respectful attitude among pupils.
  • Support children in their personal, social, and emotional development, helping them to thrive academically and personally.
Essential Experience/Attributes:
  • Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • Experience supporting children in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, with a focus on promoting learning and development.
  • A DBS check registered on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards working with children, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the varying needs of children in the classroom, with a focus on promoting inclusivity and diversity.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality policies, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
