Job Title: Head Driver Trainer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Driver Trainer to join our team at Acclaim Handling Ltd. As a key supplier of forklifts and materials handling equipment, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and promoting a safe and healthy working environment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the operational side of the Driver Training Department, including the recruitment of new Driver Trainer staff, maintaining and developing the RTITB accreditation, and ensuring the department is prepared for the annual RTITB audit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expand and grow the Driver Training department
• Recruit new Driver Trainer staff, including writing job descriptions and adverts, induction, and training
• Maintain and develop the RTITB accreditation by checking paperwork regularly
• Ensure the department is prepared for the annual RTITB audit
• Stay up-to-date with legislation and any changes to training and Health & Safety
• Deal with customers and their requirements correctly and resolve any problems
• Look after key accounts
• Develop Driver Trainer Instructors and ensure their training is up-to-date
• Manage absences within the Team of Driver Trainers
• Carry out Appraisals and pay reviews for the Team of Driver Trainers annually
• Carry out driver training sessions as required

Requirements:

• Forklift driver experience
• RTITB instructor qualification
• RTITB Train the Trainer qualification or willingness to train
• Health & Safety knowledge and qualification
