We are seeking an accomplished Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Kinetic plc, a Recruitment Consultancy with over 40 years' experience delivering staffing solutions to the engineering, manufacturing, and technical industries.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing AC electrical systems and components for various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on high power LV/MCC, industrial control panels, and busbar systems, complete with a good understanding of industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop LV electrical systems for Electric Vehicle Charging applications, ensuring compliance with project requirements, safety regulations, and applicable standards, specifically BS EN 61439.
  • Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools, including EPLAN, SolidEdge etc.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate the viability and potential challenges of proposed electrical designs.
  • Oversee the manufacture and testing of AC electrical systems, troubleshooting any issues that arise and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
  • Conduct thorough documentation of electrical designs, including technical reports, operation manuals, and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Educated to HND/HNC or Degree
  • Efficient in use of Eplan - Essential
  • Minimum of 2 years' electrical engineering design experience in a relevant discipline
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards such as IEEE, IEC, and BS EN 61349, and the ability to ensure compliance with these standards in design activities.
